Your world video is an 8-second vertical clip of your globe spinning 360°, with the number of countries you've visited front and center, ready to share.
💡 The sharing panel is currently interface-only in Portuguese, regardless of your language setting. This article uses the exact labels you'll see, with the English meaning alongside.
Generating the video
- Open your profile panel and click Compartilhar (Share) (if your profile isn't discoverable yet, Galmund asks you to turn that on first)
- On the Compartilhar meu Galmund (Share my Galmund) screen, scroll to the bottom and click Vídeo do meu mundo (My world video)
- Wait for it to generate: a progress bar shows how far along it is
💡 The button shows a lock icon if you have fewer than 2 visited countries: you need at least 2 for the globe's spin to make sense.
What's in the video
- The globe spinning, with your visited countries and flag magnets highlighted
- Your countries-visited count, front and center
- Your username
- The number of upcoming trips (not the destination name), only if Viagens futuras (Upcoming trips) is turned on in that same sharing panel
💡 Budget data and place descriptions never appear in the video: only the count of upcoming trips, when you turn that sharing option on.
Sharing or downloading
Once it's generated, the video opens in a preview screen with a play button. On devices with native file sharing, a button opens the system share sheet. Galmund's hint text (in Portuguese) tells you to pick Instagram and tap Adicionar ao stories (Add to story), since the video is already born in the right vertical format (1080×1920) for that. You can also download the file straight to your device.
💡 Generating it requires a browser with WebCodecs support: if yours doesn't have it, try Chrome.
Frequently asked questions
Why does the video button show up locked?
You need at least 2 visited countries (by memory or manual marking): with 0 or 1, the globe would just spin around a single still point, which isn't much to look at. The button stays clickable even when locked and shows a note explaining why.
Do I need to make my profile discoverable to generate the video?
Yes. The video is generated from your profile's sharing panel, which only opens once Discoverable profile is turned on. If it isn't yet, Galmund asks you to enable it first.
Does the video show my upcoming trips or budget?
Only the count of upcoming trips, and only if that's turned on in the same sharing panel, never the destination name, place descriptions, or any budget data, which always stay private.
My browser couldn't generate the video. What do I do?
Try Chrome: generating it depends on a feature (WebCodecs) not every browser has. Without support, Galmund shows a warning instead of failing silently.
How do I share the video once it's generated?
On devices with native file sharing, a button opens the system share sheet directly. Galmund's own hint (in Portuguese) tells you to pick Instagram and tap "Adicionar ao stories" (Add to story), since the video is already in the right vertical format. You can also download the file directly.
