Zoom levels

The globe has three meaningful zoom levels:

  1. World view — see all your visited countries at once, highlighted on the globe
  2. Country / region view — individual states and provinces appear, memory pins become visible
  3. Street view — maximum zoom, satellite imagery, trip markers appear with detail

Hovering over a country

When you move the cursor over a country, a tooltip appears showing:

  • The country's flag and name
  • A + button to create a new trip there
  • A settings button for that country
  • A to dismiss the tooltip

💡 The tooltip stays still while you hover — you can move your mouse onto it to click the buttons without it disappearing.

The timeline

At the top of the screen, a horizontal timeline lets you travel through time. Drag it left (past) or right (future) to see your memories and trips at different dates. The date shown in the centre is the currently selected moment.

Memory pins

When you zoom in on a country or region where you have memories, circular pins appear on the globe. Each pin shows a thumbnail of your photo or video. Click any pin to open the memory.

Frequently asked questions

Can I use the globe on mobile?

Yes. The globe works on mobile browsers — use one finger to spin and two fingers to pinch-zoom. The experience is optimised for desktop but fully functional on mobile.

Why is my country not highlighted?

Countries are highlighted when you have at least one memory pinned there, or when your hometown is set to that country. Upload a memory or update your hometown in profile settings.

How do I reset the globe to the default view?

Click the globe icon (⊕) in the zoom controls at the bottom of the screen. This flies the view back to your home position.

Can I tilt the globe?

The globe can be tilted on desktop by right-clicking and dragging, or using Ctrl+drag. This gives you a perspective view of any region.
