Instead of scrolling through the recommendation carousel, you can describe what you're looking for in plain text and let Galmund AI suggest real places.
Opening the panel
On the Attractions, Stays, or Restaurants tab of a stop, scroll below the recommendation carousel and click Ask Galmund AI.
Each tab opens with a different question:
- Attractions: what kind of experience are you looking for (history, nature, nightlife, shopping)?
- Hotels: what matters most (central location, comfort, or price)?
- Restaurants: a specific cuisine, or a special occasion?
Write your answer with detail (the more context, the better the suggestions), then click Send.
💡 You need to have added at least one country or city to the trip before asking. Without that, Galmund AI doesn't have enough context to suggest anything.
Getting suggestions
Answers come back as real places, resolved against the map, not generic or made-up names. If the AI can't find enough real places for your description, it says so instead of forcing a bad suggestion. Add any suggestion to your trip the same way you would from the regular carousel.
Continuing the conversation
After the first reply, an Ask something else... field lets you refine the request (say, "something cheaper" or "but closer to downtown") without losing the conversation's context. Each conversation's history is saved per tab and per trip, and reloads exactly where you left it next time you open it.
Daily quota by plan
- Free: 1 question a day per tab, no conversation follow-up
- Galmund+: 10 messages a day per tab
- Member: 30 messages a day per tab
A counter in the panel shows how many messages you've used today. Once you hit the limit, a notice explains when it resets (the next day) and offers an upgrade for anyone who wants to keep going right away.
In trip creation
Galmund AI also shows up on the cities screen of the trip-creation wizard, as an alternative to the suggestions list, the attraction search, and the interactive map. Describe the kind of trip you want (relaxing, adventurous, cultural, solo or with family) and it suggests cities for your itinerary.
Frequently asked questions
Does Galmund AI make up places, or only suggest real ones?
Only real places. Every suggestion is resolved against the map before it shows up. If the AI can't find enough real places for your description, it says so instead of inventing something.
How many questions can I ask per day?
Depends on your plan: 1 a day on Free, 10 on Galmund+, 30 on Member. The quota is per tab (Attractions, Hotels, Restaurants each count separately) and per trip. On Free, this also turns off conversation follow-up: only the day's first question goes through, no follow-up.
Do I need to have already added a destination to the trip before asking?
Yes. Galmund AI answers within the context of a specific trip, so add at least one country or city before opening the panel.
Does Galmund AI also help pick which cities to visit?
Yes. In the trip-creation wizard, the city-selection screen has Galmund AI as one of the options, alongside the suggestions list, the attraction search, and the interactive map.
Can I continue the same conversation after closing and reopening the trip?
Yes, if your plan allows follow-up. Each conversation's history is saved per tab and per trip, and reloads exactly where you left it.
